Our Fundraisers

Tailgate Party
We celebrate the end of the football season with a "Tailgate Party" held at the Bolivar Fire Hall. Food and refreshments are served to ticket holders and this event has always been a fun-filled afternoon.
Pizza Sales
This is our newest fundraising event. The Bolivar-Richburg High School has afforded us the use of their cafeteria facilities to prepare pizzas to fill orders presold by the membership.
Golf Tournament
FORE!! Play 18 holes on a picture-perfect golf course (See meetings page). Start the golf season with an afternoon with "alotta" Lions. The tournament is open to everyone and no one goes home without winning something.
Chicken Barbeque
Rain or Shine! Our oldest fundraiser. Our experienced chicken barbeque crew is unsurpassed in the intricities of poule preparation. And we have exclusive access to Lion Cliff Johnston's secret basting sauce.
Journey For Sight
The Journey For Sight is a sponsor driven five kilometer walk held in the Fall of each year to aid the visually handicapped in Allegany county. Participants in this event are members of Lions and Lioness clubs in Allegany County(Region V). Money raised by this event is available to help fund expensive projects undertaken by individual clubs to ease the financial burden.

All Lions Clubs maintain two separate treasuries. The first is called the activities account and contains all money obtained through fund raisers in the community and must be used for the benefit of others. 100% of the money raised from the community will go back to the public. All of our service activities are funded through the this account. At no time will funds raised from the community be used for club administrative costs.

The second is called the regular account and is used for club administration. This is money collected from Lions members in the form of membership fees, 50/50 drawings at our meetings and Tail Twister fines.
