Our Service Activities
- Pancake Breakfast
- The Pancake Breakfast came into being many years ago when the Lions decided to provide a free breakfast
for senior citizens in recognition of Lion's World Service Day.
- Fruit Baskets
- The fruit baskets we distribute at Thanksgiving is our oldest service activity. Many members have reported that after participating
in this event, they came to more fully understand what it means to be a Lion.
- Village Christmas Decorations
- Each year the Lions place Christmas decorations along Wellsvile Street and along North Main Street through the village to South Main Street.
- Community Park
- The Community Park consists of Shaner Field and a covered pavilion area dedicated to the memory of Lion Lou Claire. The park was a collaborative effort between the Village of Bolivar, Shaner Development Corp and The Bolivar Lions Club. Shaner Field hosts games for girl's softball leagues.
- AMBA Wellness Program
- The Bolivar Lions Club continues to provide ongoing support and sponsorship of the AMBA Wellness Program as it affords our local citizens a great value in diagnostic blood tests.
- Scholarships
- The Bolivar Lions annually provides three scholarships, each one in the amount of five hundred dollars, to Bolivar-Richburg Seniors. One of these scholarships is awarded in memory of Lion Don Lounsberry
